Welcome, Kafka user! Thank you for using our system. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to contact the development team. First, you can navigate to Kafka Kare's repository to start your journey. Remember to clone or fork our repo, and the README should have everything you need.
Before you spin up the project, you have to setup some environment variables. Due to security reasons, we cannot provide these variables on Github. Please follow the steps in the video and ReadMe to obtain your own secret variables.
We are now ready to set sail. There are multiple images that to build, but we already integrated the commands. Therefore, you only need to type 'docker compose up'. Following the flow, welcome to Kafka Kare.
Enter a unique username and password. If the formats are correct, you will see a successful signup notification and a page loading screen. If anything went wrong, please check out the message on screen or your console to troubleshoot.
The .gif file is an example of adding a new cluster. As you can see, you can add, edit, and delete clusters plus other features for you to explore. Once you finished setting up your clusters and brokers, navigate to the dashboard page by clicking the button on the cluster cards.
You can choose the two pre-built dashboards- cluster health and consumer lag- or you can customize your own dashboard by selecting various graphs to monitor and maintain the performance and stability of your Kafka clusters
